How It Went
High School is a huge change for us. The school has over 1400 students, nearly 450 freshman. We attended an orientation and followed his class schedule, and I was so confused and turned around. I'm really glad it's not me that's starting High School this year! I can't believe how time has flown, 4 years until college... How did that happen?
Lessons Learned
- attend the meetings, join the PTA, stay informed
- your child will answer any questions you ask with a shoulder shrug
- no matter what your expectations are, kids have their own ideas, all you can do is support and encourage them
