Bookmark Product Pages
Use your Favorites/Bookmarks to save product pages that you are considering. I hide my Christmas folder deep in my Favorites directory. While I am surfing for gifts, I just add the ones I like to my Favorites folder. When I'm ready to buy, I do some quick comparisons and make my decision.
Get on the Email List
Sign up for email promotions at your favorite retailers. You probably don't visit the online store enough to keep up with the deals, but a quick perusal of the store's email announcements will keep you on top of promotions and special offers. Make a folder in your email program named Shopping Emails. Flag them with your organizer to filter to this folder; and then, scan them at your leisure.
Look at Shipping Terms
Save on shipping by buying several items from a retailer that offers free shipping at certain purchase levels. Look for retailers with free return policies or "brick and mortar" stores that are convenient for returns. This is especially important for kids' clothing purchases.
Take Advantage of Promotions
Compare prices with a service such as About partner, PriceGrabber. Or, find special promotion codes and coupons.
