The Family Freebies Special is always one of my favorite Internet adventures. I am feeling a bit less trusting this year; though. I just spent a week adding more Junk Mail rules to my email filters to staunch the flow of spam in my Inbox. So, use caution with the information you reveal when signing up for contests and freebies. *Tip from Kim - Never use the same email account that you use for your personal correspondence when you register at a Web site. Instead, use a Web-based email account when you sign up at Web sites of all kinds. Then, you can surf by your email box occasionally to see if anything useful or interesting is there.
