Valentine Cupcake Walk

Supplies:

  • Tape and numbers for the floor
  • Slips of paper with numbers to draw from a box or basket for each game round
  • Boom box and peppy love music
  • Valentine cupcakes

Preparation:

  1. Tape the numbers to the floor of the classroom in a circle.
  2. Get the boom box ready to start the music.

Game Play:

  • Children stand in a circle and walk around the numbers while you play the music.
  • Stop the music and draw a number.
  • The child who is standing on that number wins a cupcake.
  • Let the child who wins sit down so that others will have a chance to win as you play a few rounds of the game.

Grade Range:

All kids love a cakewalk. We like it best in grades 1 through 6.
