Supplies:
- Box of inexpensive kiddie Valentine cards
- Scissors
- Basket or box for game pieces
Preparation:
- Cut Valentine cards in two pieces, so that half the verse is on each piece.
- Make just enough for each child to have a piece with no leftover pieces. You need an equal number of players, so recruit the teacher if the number of students is not even.
- Mix up pieces and place in a basket for the kids to draw out one card.
Game Play:
- Each child draws a half-card from the basket.
- Player one reads the words from the half-verse on his card.
- Children have to check their card and the person who has the matching half-verse comes forward to stand by his partner.
- The partners read their verse one more time.
- This game gets lots of giggles!
Grade Range:
Readers are needed for this game, so around grade 1 up to grade 5.
