Use a kid-safe search to discover online information about a topic. Choose one or more of these suggested topics and explore the different subjects in it.
For example, if you choose Bugs, first do a search to explore sites that have lots of different types of bugs. As you surf and explore the topic, pick one bug as your "Favorite". Learn more about that bug and complete the assignment:
- Page 1 - Find a picture of your favorite bug and save it to the computer. Open a document and title it "My Favorite Bug". Insert the picture onto the page.
- Page 2 - Copy and paste some interesting facts about your favorite bug.
- Page 3 - Copy and paste some web site URLs for learning more about your favorite bug.
