Travel games are a must for family travel. Experienced traveling parents know to pack a bag of toys and activities for kids for car trips and air travel boredom. The trick is to keep the bag's contents a surprise! Then, pull out a new activity or surprise along the way to prevent whining and boredom.

You can find free, printable travel games online. Put printable travel games in their own plastic bag and the activity sheets in a multi-pocket school folder. Add a drawing pad and a good variety of crayons, markers, and gel pens. A favorite idea is to bring a 3-ring binder and a box of sheet protectors. Put your child's finished coloring pages and printable projects in the sheet protectors to come home with a special trip memory book.

Travel Coloring Pages

Are you visiting a new state or traveling through several U.S. states? Print a cute Crayola.com coloring page for each of the states you will visit. Or, visit Kidzone and print a variety of state flower, bird, flags, maps, and quizzes for the states.

If you are heading to the beach, your child might enjoy coloring these ocean life coloring sheets from Enchanted Learning. Find more coloring pages for older kids to engage your elementary child's interest in a coloring project while traveling.
