Math:

Start a summer money jar. Ask Mom or Dad to give you some change to add to the jar each day. Count the money and keep a running total of how much is in the jar. You can use a computer spreadsheet to keep up with the amount, or write it on lined paper.

Writing, Spelling, Vocabulary:

  1. Write the grocery list. Ask Mom or Dad to tell you what is needed. You can write it on the computer or with pencil and paper. (Spelling doesn’t have to be perfect.)
  2. Write the menu for the family dinner three times this week. Ask Mom or Dad what’s being served and post the menu on the refrigerator before dinner. You can write it on the computer or use markers and art paper. Decorate the menu with pictures or clip art.
