Let your older child gather your family's love history to put together for a family keepsake. She will need a notebook to record information, or use this sample Love History Questionnaire. Other supplies she might use to make an interesting keepsake are a digital camera, scanner for old photos, and materials to make a scrapbook.

Step One - Gather Love History

Ask family couples - parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles -these questions:

• How did you meet each other?
• When did you realize that you were in love with each other?
• How did you decide to get married?
• Where did you get married?
• Who was at your wedding?

Take a picture of the couple or video the interview.

Step Two - Compile Love History

Make a book to share at family gatherings. Be creative! Here are a few ideas:

• Use some of the cute new commercial scrapbooking materials.
• Find clip-art on the Internet - hearts, cupids, stars, or perhaps something related to the couples' story. Download the clip-art to your computer then print it out on your color printer (or find line art to print and color yourself.)
• Use your Paint or Art software to design pages for writing the couples' story.
• Use construction paper, tagboard, or printed computer paper to make a book. Punch holes in the side and tie with yarn or staple the pages together.
• Put a picture of each couple in the book.
• Write the love history information in the form of a story, starting with "Once upon a time . . " or "There once were two people named . . "
• Use Valentine cards to decorate your book.
• Video your interviews and make a fun video to copy and share with everyone in the family.
