How to Improve Family Health in Five Easy Steps
From your Parenting of K-6 Children Guide

Kim's quick guide to health and nutrition for busy families.

Difficulty Level: Easy

Here's How:
  1. Liquid antibacterial soap! Buy a bottle for each sink and a big refill jug. Teach everyone to use it several times a day, especially when they come home, before they eat and after going to bathroom.
  2. Eat five servings of fruits and vegetables each day. Find out what your family likes and keep it on hand at all times.
  3. Take a multivitamin each day.
  4. Laugh every day. Have fun. Let the little things go. Don't let the stresses of a busy life steal your joy while your children are with you.
  5. Rest. Some weeks that may seem impossible, but don't let a hectic schedule go on without a break. Force yourself and your children to take a break even when you don't think you need it.

Tips:

  1. The family computer mouse and keyboard seem to be great ways to spread germs. Try the new antibacterial wipes on the computer, phone and door knobs to prevent spreading illness to the entire family.
