One of our favorite costume ideas that our family had was for my two daughters. At the times my oldest and my then youngest was only eight months old. My older daughter found a “spider witch” costume that she loved. It was pink fleece, with spider webs emblazoned all over it. We got her a hat and broom, and a black plastic cauldron to use for her candy and I quickly made a black fleece cape to help keep her warm. Then I took the same black fleece material, some polyfill, and some googly-eyes and put together a spider costume for my younger daughter. We made a fluffy spider body with four fleece legs (stuffed with polyfill to give them some shape) and made arm and legbands to hold it in place. Then her a black fleece cap, and glued the googly-eyes all over the top. The whole project took less than two hours and and the end, we had a cute little witch, and her pet spider!
